Beagle is a mass-mailing virus that turns your computer into a mail server that will start sending out infected email messages to as many people as possible whenever it is connected to the Internet.
It also opens a "port," which allows hackers and others to access your computer.
Infects shared folders for file sharing on programs like Kazaa and any other directories that contain the phrase "Shar" (i.e.: File Sharing, Shared Folder, Shared Music).
The infecting email will appear to be from a trusted source, like your Internet service provider, an employer or a friend. Often the email address will contain one of the following names:
management
administration
staff
noreply
support
Attachment: A
randomly named .exe file,
stored inside a .zip file,
or a .pif file.
