Where can I find an anti-virus program for my PC?

There are many programs designed by industry leading security companies to help you protect your PC. This tutorial will provide a few links to companies that 3web recommends for virus protection software.

What do Anti-Virus programs do?
Anti-virus programs are designed to scan your computer and intercept files that contain viruses before you can open them. They then quarantine them so that they can't be accessed. If possible they will try to clean the file so that you can still access the content without harming your computer.

Anti-virus programs need to be updated at least once a week to ensure that they are able to intercept the most current viruses. Most recent Anti-virus programs will update themselves automatically when you connect to the Internet. Please consult the documentation provided with your anti-virus software for help setting up automatic updates.

Most anti-virus programs will not protect you against hackers, spy ware, email scams, or spam. You will need to acquire additional protection to ensure total protection from the Internet.
