How do I install the 3webXS 3.0 (or later) Basic Dial-up software?

The first step in getting connected with 3webXS Premium Unlimited Internet is to install the software from the CD. Running the software is necessary to establish and maintain the connection to 3web's servers.  If you do not have an installation CD, please contact 1.866.GET.3WEB to order your free CD.

Insert the 3web 3.0 CD into your CD-ROM drive.  The CD should start to run automatically.

If the software doesn't automatically start:

1. Click on the Start button at the bottom left hand side of the screen.

2. Click on Run...

3. In the Open: box, type the letter of your CD-ROM drive followed by a colon and a backslash ( :\ ) then 3webXS.exe .  It should appear something like: D:\3webXS.exe if "D" was the letter of your CD-ROM drive.

4. Click the OK button.

When the 3webXS installation screen appears:

1. Click the button that contains your preferred language.

2. Click the CONTINUE button in the Dial-up Internet column.
3. Click the INSTALL button to begin the installation of the Basic Dial-up service.
4. Again, click your preferred language by clicking on the appropriate button.
5. Click the Next button.
6. Click the Next button to begin the installation.  This step may take a few moments to complete.
7. When the software has been successfully installed, you will be prompted to click the Next button to connect to the Internet.

You have now installed the 3webXS Basic Dial-up connection software.  For information on running the 3web Connection Setup which guides you through the process of connecting to the internet and setting up a Dial-up connection in Microsoft Windows, please see the related tutorial below.
