In addition, updates are downloaded automatically to ensure an always reliable connection with the most up to date software available.

Downloading the 3webXS Software
IMPORTANT NOTE: This release is not compatible with Netscape 4.x Communicator. You must be using a recent version of Netscape or Internet Explorer to upgrade to version 3 of the connection software. It is also suggested you use Outlook Express as your email client to ensure compatibility with the 3web software.

1. Click here to download the latest release of the 3web software.
2. When the File Download screen opens, click the Save button. |

3. The Save As window will open automatically.
4. Next to Save In: choose Desktop.
5. Click the Save button.

6. The software will be downloaded and saved to the Desktop.
7. Click Close.
8. Remember to disconnect from 3web and close all running programs before installing the 3webXS Connection Software. |

Saving the Software to a Floppy Disk
It's always a good idea to keep a backup copy of the software in case you ever need to reinstall it. To save the 3webXS software to a floppy disk, please follow the instructions below: |

1. Locate the 3websetup.exe file on the Desktop of your computer. |
|
| |
|
2. Insert a blank 1.44MB floppy disk into your floppy disk drive.
3. With the right mouse button click on the 3websetup.exe file.
4. A drop-down menu will open automatically.

5. Click on Send To.
6. A menu will open to the right.
7. Choose 3½ Floppy (A:)
8. The software will then be copied to the floppy disk.
Don't forget to label the disk so you can find it in the future! |
